Creating innovation, generating impact
For companies, we offer access to current research results and support in the transfer process from the identification and communication of solutions to the conclusion of contracts.
For scientific employees of KIT, we offer internal services from the initial idea and its patent protection to commercialization with the approach and project implementation with industrial partners.

On 26 March 2026, KIT Business Club and Technology Transfer launched a pilot initiative: KIT>>Fast Forward. The aim was to identify new approaches to a technical challenge and to develop project proposals ready for decision-making. Led by the IPEK Institute, the initiative focused on structured, technical discussions between companies and KIT institutes.

Featuring technologies ranging from catalysis to carbon management, the KIT Business Club’s technology day on 25 March 2026 demonstrated how research and industry are working together to overcome our dependence on fossil fuels. Examples from research at KIT illustrated resilient solutions under the theme ‘Science for defossilization – Technologies for a low-emission future’.

Avoiding greenhouse gas emissions and closing carbon cycles—this is made possible by an innovation from KIT. The NECOC process converts the greenhouse gas carbon dioxide into solid carbon—an industrially usable raw material. Now it is set to be used on an industrial scale for the first time: KIT researchers are developing plant concepts for this purpose in collaboration with industry partners.
